Reading this made me thirsty for tequila! I loved this book, with two exceptions. First, and I can't believe I'm saying this, the sex scene was too long. And also, I was put off by her seemingly gratuitous use of the word "retard" in Part Three.
I was glad that their friendship didn't dissolve into some catty jealous drama, as I feared it might.
Trust me, my friends don't spoon me either, hard times or no.

I didn't think the sex scene was too long. KC does them so well.It reminded me that one character was finding connections while the other was being isolated...pretty much at the same time.
Friendship has its limits.
